Residence Permit Applications for International Students

Within the scope of the "Cooperation Protocol on Residence Permit Applications of International Students" signed between the Board of Higher Education and the Directorate of Migration Management on November 15, 2023, for updating the visa and residence permit procedures and processes of international students, international students who were enrolled in our University before 29.11.2023 and whose education process has been interrupted due to residence violations, although they continue to be students, must apply to our Rectorate (Student Affairs Department) with the application documents specified below until 31.01.2024.

Documents Required for Application

Residence permit registration/application form (ink signature by the student)

Passport or passport substitute document (original as seen)

Document showing student status.

4 biometric photographs

Valid health insurance (GHI or private health insurance covering the period of residence permit request)

Document showing the address of the accommodation.

  • If he/she is staying in his/her own house, a copy of the title deed (for extension applications, "certificate of residence and invoice" is sufficient)
  • Notarized copy of the lease agreement if staying with a lease agreement
  • If staying in a hotel, etc., a document stating that you are staying in this place.
  • If staying in student dormitories, proof of residence in the dormitory
  • A notarized commitment of the person staying with the sponsor if the sponsor is staying with him/her (If the sponsor is married, a notarized commitment of his/her spouse as well)

Receipt of payment of the residence permit document fee

For foreigners under 18 years of age; for those arriving with a visa exemption or visa for a different purpose; a document containing the information of the parent/guardian (birth certificate, family certificate, etc.) and the consent given by the parent/guardian/legal representative. (For those arriving with a visa for educational purposes (study visa); the consent and the document containing the information of the parent/guardian will not be attached.)
